AJ Foundation is CSR Wings of US Group, a vertically integrated establishment (US Apparel & Textiles Pvt. Ltd. and US Denim Mills Pvt. Ltd.) with state of the art, internationally recognized denim manufacturing facility with 6 manufacturing units in Lahore, Pakistan. US Group is one of the leading exporters of Pakistan exporting value added garments throughout the globe and provides direct employment to 23,000 personnel and indirect employment to more 100,000. US Group has a global presence with offices in USA, UK, Europe and Turkey and is recognized by its customers as a reliable, quality conscious and ethical partner.

Purpose

Inspired by the sustainable philanthropy established by Hazrat Usman (R.A) 1400 years ago, which continues to serve the community’s needs in Madinah, AJ Foundation has embarked on a mission to create sustainable organization capable of continuing its purpose for generations to come.

The Journey of AJ Foundation

The Journey begins when Mr. Javed Arshad Bhatti and Mian Muhammad Ahsan, Founders of US Group, started business in 1975 and produced the first garment on February 22 1976. Committed from the first garment to takeout an amount from each garment for the funding in Healthcare and Education. This how the CSR / welfare works started. In 1998 the group formed a Trust under Trust Act 1882 in the name of parents of Founders i.e. Naimat Saleem Trust ( Haji Naimat Ullah Sb and Muhammad Saleem Bhatti) and started welfare activities from this platform. Alhamdullah the 2nd generation of the Founders is also aligned with Founders vision and in 2017 transformed NST into AJ Foundation (i.e. Ahsan Javed Foundation). AJ Foundation was incorporated under Societies Act 1860.Both, Naimat Saleem Trust and the AJ Foundation enjoys the status of approved Not for Profit organization under Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and have tax exemption u/s 2(36) of the Income Tax ordinance. The Trust and Foundation has also been awarded NPO Certification by PCP (Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy) for demonstrating excellence and leadership.
